I had been normal (esp. my weight too was normal) until 3 months back. But due to drowsiness and my constant urge to take a nap ,made me undergo blood tests .I was then diagnosed with hypthyroidism (TSH level being 5) .I’m also slightly anaemic as per the reports.I was prescribed Levothyroxin. I realised I was gaining weight . I have now been asked to take Armour .
I’d really appreciate it if someone could enlighten me as to

1. whether I can abruplty stop the medication as I feel I have been wrongly treated
2. If theres an alternative form of treatment
3. how to reduce my weight

I was recently diagnosed with GERD, I am on Zantac and I am aware I cannot mix alcohol with my medication or disease. However, college is approaching and I would like to live my youth to the fullest and be able to drink moderately. Will I ever grow out of GERD? Are there any alternatives with medication that will allow me to drink? Thanks in advance

What side effects have you experienced? Did you get the relief you hoped from the treatment? How did you handle the length of time the treatment required? Would you advise a different medication/alternative to the remicade infusions?

What is a good alternative drug to xanax? A medication that works as fast but is not addictative? I have panic attacks and anxiety attacks, and I am working with a doctor — but she doesn’t seem to be all that knowledgeable on current drugs.

Can anyone suggest (and I will ask her about this) a drug that is as good on panic attacks as Xanax (which I took in the past – but waaaay too addictive) – which will work quickly – where I can feel the effects within 24 hours? I cannot go again waiting for 6 weeks for a drug to kick in, with my big panic attacks.

Thank you all for your suggestions!

I’ve tried several conventional medications for Osteoarthritis and none of them help. Has anyone found any alternative way to treat this condition? Chinese herbs? I live in Los Angeles.
